AGENDA PREPARATION AND DISSEMINATION

 

 

The Board President shall direct the Superintendent to prepare or cause to be prepared an agenda for all regular Board meetings.  Items of business may be suggested by Board members, administrative staff, employees, school patrons, or lay citizens of the School System for inclusion on the agenda.

 

A request to be considered for a place on the agenda by any group or individual other than a Board member shall be submitted in writing to the Superintendent at least five (5) work days prior to the Board meeting.  Any material to be used or presented shall be submitted at the time of the request.

 

Items of business not on the agenda may not be suggested from the floor for discussion except by a majority consent of the Board.

 

The order of business shall be as follows:

 

1.                  Call to order.

2.                  Roll call.

3.                  Action on Minutes of previous meetings.

4.                  Hearing of individuals or groups who have requested a presentation before the Board.

5.                  Unfinished Business.

6.                  New Business.

7.                  Superintendent’s Reports.

8.                  Adjournment.

 

All Board meeting materials, agenda, and supporting data shall be disseminated to the members of the Board no later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to any Board meeting, whenever possible.
